Summer is here and I'm back— with another blog post. This time, I'm bound for Taiwan for the vacay season. I've heard a lot of good things about this country so I went to see it myself. Far from the usual, we opt to stay first in Taipei City's northern area, Beitou. Nope, Beitou is far from the busy streets of Ximending. This district was leaning towards Taipei's mountainous side boasting hot spring resorts which is very popular among tourists since time. Getting there | BeitouFrom Beitou take the monorail to Xinbeitou Station (red-pink line) Don't worry. Everything's walking distance from Xinbeitou area. All attractions are situated near each other from the train station and/to Beitou park. Somewhere even north is Tamsui Port. The wharf was also a huge (night) market and shopping district. Among all places in Taipei, this is the best one I've been to. The lighting and the atmosphere is really nice and something to look forward to. After spending three nights in Beitou, we transferred near Taipei's center, Zhongshan. We only booked the same hotel brand-- Aloft. Aloft has both Beitou and Zhongshan branches. Taiwan's a nice place for a short getaway. I love their art, their culture, their milk tea, and their people. I'm very grateful and happy to visit that island on the north of Philippines. How 'bout you? What makes you think about Taiwan? Let me know! Note: This post is undergoing minor edits from time-to-time. Please bear with us. Thank you. <3
